Data & Deletion

Choose what you want to remove. Local history, your app identity and service records are different.

Email a privacy or deletion request — support@underrose.net

Delete local history

Open UnderRose > Settings > Privacy > Delete all data, then confirm. This permanently removes messages, chat photos and call history from that device. It keeps your contacts, profile and UnderRose identity. It does not delete records held by the service.

Delete a contact or an individual item

You can delete individual messages or conversations. Deleting a contact also removes associated local chats and call history. Read the confirmation before proceeding. Deletion does not recall screenshots or independently exported copies.

Stop using UnderRose

UnderRose starts with a local profile and identity; it does not ask for an email or password. Deleting local history is not the same as removing that identity.

On Android, clearing app storage or uninstalling removes the app’s local storage. On iPhone, deleting the app removes its app data, while offloading keeps app data. Device keychain entries, backups or restored data can survive separately. Do not rely on uninstalling as a request to erase service records.

Request review or deletion of service data

You can email us from any device to start a privacy or deletion request; you do not need to reinstall UnderRose. Tell us your platform and which information you want reviewed or removed, including whether you are stopping use of your UnderRose identity.

We may need to verify that the request concerns your information. We will agree on the information needed for verification before making changes. Do not send passwords, private keys, passport copies or diagnostic logs just to start the request.

Service information can include notification registrations, connection and delivery records, support messages and diagnostics you shared. Some records may need to be retained for legitimate security or legal reasons; we will explain relevant limitations when responding. There is no automatic full identity-deletion button in the current app.

What can remain

Photos saved to your photo library, files shared to other apps, device backups, and copies kept by other people are separate from local app history. Remove copies you control in the relevant app or backup settings.

Encrypted undelivered messages stop being eligible for delivery after 24 hours. Expired delivery records are cleaned when queues are processed. Other service records do not all have a fixed automatic deletion schedule. See the Privacy Policy for details.
